God knows we see our share of technology mistakes related to content marketing and blog publishing here at LexBlog. Fortunately, most all with people seeking our help, as opposed to self inflicted mistakes by us.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16, we’ll highlight those mistakes and tell you how to avoid them in a free webinar on the “Top 10 Online Marketing Technology Mistakes” law firms make when it comes to content publishing. The emphasis is around the technology which comes into play in blogging and content marketing. You may register here.

Don’t tell anyone I shared the Top 10 with you. Heck, they may not mean much anyway with out learning in the Webinar why they are mistakes and what you can do to correct the mistakes.

  1. Blog incorporated into a website
  2. Lack of security (SSL), risky/repeated passwords
  3. Too much SEO emphasis
  4. Poor purpose-platform fit (blog powered by website software, website software powered by blog software)
  5. Poorly managed migration (broken links)
  6. Not upgrading blog/website software regularly
  7. Low grade email service for blog posts
  8. Adding “free” tools or plugins which lead to bigger problems later (broken, hacked site)
  9. Not using managed hosting or properly vetting managed host provider
  10. Terrible title tags

Much of this is beyond me, so Josh Lynch, our Director of Product Development, will be your teacher.

See you there.
