Money can't buy me love : Tell that to St Louis law firm
St. Louis based Gallop Law Firm will donate $1 to charity for every new follower of the firm’s LinkedIn profile this year reports KMOV TV in St. Louis.
Gallop’s at 106 LinkedIn followers as of tonight. With 50 plus employees and another 50 or so spouses and significant others, it doesn’t appear they’re picking up too many followers beyond company employees and family members.
That’s kind of surprising. What would you do if someone said they’d give you a buck if they could send you their companies press releases, news alerts, notices of when someone joined or left the company, and updates when an employee changed their profile on the web?
I love the sentiment of contributing to charity. But I think this approach to get the firm in engage in social networking is likely to backfire from a PR standpoint.
