In-House Counsel Social Media Engagement Survey underway

November 23, 2011

Greentarget, a strategic communications consultancy, has partnered with InsideCounsel, the oldest monthly magazine published specifically for in-house counsel, and the Zeughauser Group, a law firm strategic consultancy, for the second edition of its In-House Counsel New Media Engagement Survey.

In-house counsel are invited to complete the survey. The online survey takes about 5 minutes to complete. The survey closes this Friday and the results will be out in mid-January.

Aaron Schoenherr, a Founding Partner of Greentarget, told me they’re approaching the 2012 survey slightly different than last year’s survey.

Whereas the inaugural survey was focused on what social media tools that in-house counsel are using for professional and personal reasons, it seemed natural for the 2012 survey to probe further into how in-house lawyers are using these platforms. For example, the 2010 survey revealed that in-house counsel across age groups increasingly view blogs as credible and reliable sources of information. But what types of blogs are they frequenting? We also learned that a significant number of younger counsel (aged 30 to 39 years) are using Facebook for professional reasons. But in what way are they using it?
