New blogs on the LexBlog Network for the week of 10/11-10/25
October 15, 2010
Another week, another set of publications joins the LexBlog Network. This week sees five blogs launch while the rebranded Marler Clark Network grows by one. I’d say the variety on this week’s blogs is as broad as I’ve seen with the subjects they cover varying from video game law to employment matters to Minnesota politics.
- Developing Concerns, Reed Smith‘s fifteenth blog on the LexBlog Network, is authored by Patrick Sweeney and Drew Boortz, both members of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Group. With content geared towards the video game development community, the two touch on issues that include trademark law, licensing and social gaming.
- Boasting a team of experienced attorneys from the firm’s legislative and regulatory law practice, Winthrop & Weinstein‘s Inside the Minnesota Capitol closely examines the innerworkings of politics in St. Paul. Using extensive reporting, the authors publish frequent and detailed reports on the actions of the Minnesota legislature.
- Choosing kind of a unique subject, Leonard Kaufman of Cohn Lifland Pearlman Herrmann & Knopf blogs on how the law affects the day-to-day lives of ordinary people on his aptly titled publication, Law & Everyday Life. Writing in a conversational and humorous manner, Kaufman comments on a very wide range of topics.
- Written by Jennifer Gokenbach, the Colorado Employer’s Law Blog is the first publication on the LexBlog Network from AmLaw 200 firm Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart. As it stands, this is a great start to legal blogging as Jennifer does an excellent job providing in-depth and well laid-out articles on pressing issues facing Colorado employers.
- Energy & Commodities Law is the fourth blog on the LexBlog Network from McDermott Will & Emery. Attorneys Joseph Williams, Kenneth Irvin and Michael Yuffee offer practical insights into the evolving regulatory, business, tax and legal issues affecting the U.S. and international energy and commodities markets and how stakeholders might respond.
Also worth noting: The rebranding of the Marler Clark Network continues as E. coli Blog receives a fresh new look. The blog provides information about E. coli O157:H7, the symptoms and risks of infection, E. coli testing/detection, and how to prevent E. coli outbreaks.
