LexBlog team members at An Event Apart Chicago

October 12, 2009

An Event Apart logoTeam LexBlog is always trying to keep up on the latest in web design and development, which is why we’ve sent three representatives to Chicago for this week’s conference, An Event Apart.

Billed as “the design conference for people who make websites”, AEA is a two-day event that brings together some of the top minds in web design and development for presentations and brainstorming.

LexBlog developer Brian Hefter (@bhefter), designer Brian Biddle (@biddlebugs) and project manager Rob La Gatta (@roblagatta) are attending, and you can follow some of the conference highlights on Twitter.

“So far we’ve gone through a few panels involving best methods to approach redesigning, great methods to approach a new design, and the importance of gathering and mapping out content from the earliest moment possible in a project,” Brian Hefter emailed in a dispatch earlier today. “It’s excellent as always. We’re learning all the best methods for tackling these issues, dealing with clients when developing these projects, and new technologies to assist in these goals from people with a wealth of real-world experience and usability studies under their belt.”

Brian added that having LexBlog team members attend this conference is key because “it allows us to continue to be competitive in progressive design/development practices and make more-informed decisions to make our projects more effective.”

In other words, it’s all in the interests of making sure LexBlog is providing clients with the best blogging know-how we can. The boys will be sharing their insight and what they’re learning both during the conference and beyond, so check them out.
