Happy Saint Patrick’s Day
March 17, 2008
Buzz Bruggeman just called to say it’s time for the right of passage – a Guinness on St. Pat’s Day. We’ll be meeting my wife, Jill, who’s just getting off work as well.
Truth be told, Ireland doesn’t celebrate like we do in the States – at least outside of Dublin.
I practiced law in Ennis, County Clare, for a year in 1982. At Igantius Houlihan & Sons. A firm with a litigation emphasis, personal injury even. Have some incredible stories – in and out of the court house.
The only Ennis bar with any sort of St. Pat’s celebration was Flynn’s. And that was because Flynn moved back to Ireland after retiring from driving a bus in New York City.
The picture is of the main street in Ennis.
