Are there any good blogs about trial preparation from a defense perspective?

March 2, 2008

That’s the question a litigation partner at Pullman & Comley is asking at LinkedIn.

I’m in the midst of preparing for trial and it dawned on me that besides my normal books that I often peruse before a trial, there must be some good online resources that people have used about trial preparation and strategy, opening and closing statements, themes, presentation, etc. I’m aware of one of them (Illinois Trial Practice Law Blog) but wondered what else people might recommend on the subject. So, what other websites or blogs would people recommend that a trial attorney look at from a defense perspective in a civil matter?

I don’t know of any defense trial skills blogs. If you do, you may answer the question at LinkedIn. Leave a comment here as well, if you don’t mind.

Goes to show you of all the opportunities to start a niche blog before your competition does. A good case can be made that a trial skills blog such as this providing the oppirtunity to network with good defense lawyers is the equal of networking at national or state conferences. You’d certainly get known faster via a blog.
