Dot-com ‘bubble burst’ anniversary

John Cook of our Seattle Post-Intelligencer reminded me of the seven year anniversary of the bursting of Dot-com bubble. “Seven years ago this month — March 10, 2000, to be exact — the Nasdaq peaked at 5,049. (It is now trading at about half that level.)”

That was just eight months after coming to Seattle to raise a couple million bucks for Prairielaw.com. That event more than anything got me on airplanes to Minneapolis and New York to visit would buyers of the company. It goes without saying that my bargaining position did not get any stronger as the technology heavy NASDAQ continued its steady decline throughout the rest of 2000.
