Google dominates : May get 70% of search traffic

Rich Skrenta, head of Topix, reports Google’s true search market share is 70%. Far above the 45 to 60% most reports talk of.

Take a look at his data. It’s impressive. For example, The New York Times gets nearly 6 times as much traffic from Google as it does from Yahoo. Tripadvisor gets 8 times as much traffic from Google vs. Yahoo.

This blog gets nearly 14 times more traffic from Google than Yahoo.
