50 top blogging resources

November 19, 2006

Neil Patel, publisher of Pronet Advertising, shares his 50 favorite blogging resources.

The list includes a combination of books, blogs, and articles. And I’d agree with Neil that they’ll be “helpful to any individual and corporation looking to get into blogging or wanting to learn more about it.”

One key resource missing is Rebecca Blood’s Weblog Handbook. The Weblog Handbook, written in 2002, was the first book to explain how blogs work and explore their anticipated impact on the Internet and media. Sure, some of the info may be dated on the software side, but Rebecca’s insight, passion, and vision rings true today. It’s an easy short read. Get it.

As way of background, Neil co-founded a software/Internet marketing firm called Advantage Consulting Services (ACS). His Pronet advertising blog is one worth adding to your RSS feeds. I have.
