Justia and LexBlog reach semifinals in national championship

November 18, 2006

MichiganJustia and LexBlog may be headed for a gridiron rematch after the Justia (Wolverines) thrumping of LexBlog (Fighting Irish) in September. Best of all the rematch will be for the national championship.

How’s this? All is right again in the world with Michigan playing Ohio State and Notre Dame playing USC, both having big implications in the nation’s college football rankings.Notre Dame

Today Michigan faces Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship at the Horseshoe in Columbus. The winner will be ranked number one in the country.

Next Saturday Notre Dame faces USC at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. The winner will likely pick up the Number 2 ranking (Florida ain’t making it guys).

The outcome will be Justia founder Tim Stanley’s alma mater, Michigan, playing mine, Notre Dame, for the national championship in the Fiesta Bowl in January.

Update: With Michigan trailing by 4 in the 4th quarter, we need a stop and a TD Tim.
Update: Justia’s Wolverines lost and have been eliminated for today. They’ll be clamoring for a rematch with Ohio State but if USC can beat Cal tonight and Notre Dame can beat USC next week the stars may be properly aligned.
