Coming: Top 10 Rules for bloggers to staying out of court
November 17, 2006
Jeff Jarvis reports that CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism, where he teaches, has been awarded a grant from The Knight Foundation to create a guide with the top 10 rules bloggers and amateur journalists need to stay out of court. Geanne Rosenberg, who is a law-school graduate and journalism director at CUNY’s Baruch College, will be the primary author.
The Media Law Research Center keeps a list of suits against bloggers. However, I’m still of opinion that with a little care law suits can be easily avoided by bloggers. Until we get the 1o rules the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s legal guide for bloggers is a heck of resource.
