John Edwards courts tech crowd in Seattle : A plus for blogs

Standing in line at the ferry latte stand this morning and saw the cover of the the Seattle PI. Said to my wife, Jill, that’s where I was and am heading again – pointing to John Edwards in front of a characterture of Chris Pirello.

Politics and the net is not where I’m at, but this article in the PI raises some interesting points.

Also talked at length with Rick Klau who is always leveraging technology on the net and Ryan Montoya, Edwards head tech guy. These guys are fired up about the power of blogs, podcasts, and virtual communities in politics. Montoya, especially, is passionate not only about John Edwards but also John’s engaging with people via the One America Blog.

I am not going to touch politics here with a ten foot pole. But if the public gets more exposed to blogs and podcasts because of political campaigns, that’s good for lawyers and professional service firms who are blogging. Just increases our audience.
