LexBlog puts Montana on the Web 2.0 map, Literally
LexBlog, headquartered in Bozeman, has put the state of Montana on the Web 2.0 map. And I mean literally.
Check out the Web 2.0 Innovation Map depicting the location of web startups around the world. Narrow down to North America and you’ll see only one Web 2.0 company in Montana, us. For that matter there aren’t any in the adjoining states of Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota or South Dakota. For the guys in the bay area, that’s up here.
Ryan Williams, a web developer and internet entrepreneur in Portland, Oregon and publisher of Web Things Considered explained the Web 2.0 Innovation Map.
We all know Silicon Valley is hot when it comes to web startups. But, what about other areas of the country? Are there any hidden hotbeds of web talent? What other groups were in the northwest along with Fourio? These were some of the questions I was looking to answer. Now, Web 2.0 can be visualized, using what else, but the Google Maps API and Yahoo Geocoding API.
Spread the word guys, I am sure there’s a few more of us around the state. That’s assuming anyone can tell me what Web 2.0 really is.
