TV characters blog their way to ratings

ABC News reports TV shows are using blogs to enhance their ratings.

Internet marketing is nothing new for the industry, but marketers are increasingly teaming up with TV producers to create original Web content, hoping to create a buzz and involve the audience in a whole new way.

Though I don’t watch any of them, the article discusses how blogs for Nip/Tuck, Lost, and ‘How I Met Your Mother’ worked to draw more viewers.

If TV actors can improve their ratings with blogs, why not lawyers and other business professionals? Gosh knows we lawyers need all the help we can get with our ratings.
