Law blog from WSJ a good addition

January 7, 2006

The Wall Street Law Journal Law Blog is a nice addition to the world of lawyer blogs. The blog focuses on law and business, and the business of law. Peter Lattman is the lead writer. Peter joined The Wall Street Journal Online from Forbes Magazine. Before becoming a journalist, Peter worked on Wall Street and as a litigator at a New York law firm.

Unlike other blogs from major publishers and corporations, this one has trackbacks and comments, something that will allow Peter to network with lawyers and other folks on the blogosphere. His intro:

[W]elcome to WSJ.com’s law blog. Our mission: to scour the universe for compelling stories in two related areas: business and law, and the business of law. Law and business is a broad intersection, encompassing such current news as the Enron trial, the Merck litigation and the RIM patent dispute. The business of law is focused on law firms and in-house law departments. We’ll write about industry news and legal trends, with a sprinkle of good old-fashioned gossip.

We’ll link to the best coverage of law and lawyers from around the Web, report some news of our own and look to you for contributions. We heartily invite your comments, tips and insights.

Gee, I wonder why the Wall Street Journal didn’t call it a blawg.
