Best news for law blog publishers in 2006 : Return of Jerry Lawson
I noticed a week or two ago a new post or two over at NetLawTools. But didn’t blog about it until I saw Dennis Kennedy’s post today ‘What’s the Best Recent Development in Law Blogging.’
Jerry Lawson, the author of The Complete Internet Handbook for Lawyers, began blogging years ago. Jerry’s posts at NetLawTools and contributions at seminars, articles and elsewhere played a huge roll in getting law blogs to where they are today. All lawyers publishing blogs should be subscribed to his RSS feeds.
I owe Jerry a tremendous debt of gratitude. When I had the hair brained idea of starting a company to provide law firms with a turnkey blog solution, Jerry was the only who didn’t call me nuts. Still remember calling Jerry one night from that cold office on my garage floor. In that, I believe, West Virginia accent of his, he told maybe with a few value adds such as design, training, hosting, SEO, marketing and ongoing support, a turnkey blog solution for law firms may just fly. I followed with a number of calls in early 2004.
When you have questions about the Internet, and, in particular marketing on the Internet, you could do a lot worse than Jerry Lawson.
