Grocery store blogs signal blogs will be as common as Web sites

It was only 7 or 8 years ago that we saw all sorts of businesses proudly announcing their websites. The same is happening when we see the likes of Fairway Foods in New York City posting a huge sign in their store promoting the store’s new blog.

Heather Green at BusinessWeek, my source for this post, points out that the blog could have been much better providing more practical information than promo copy. However, seeing blog announcements, as opposed to gossip a magazines, while standing in the grocery checkout line tells us blogs will soon become part of the fabric of our society. Just like Web sites have.
