NBC considers blogs for Today Show and Nightly News
NBC Universal Television Group President Jeff Zucker, addressing a Yahoo conference on high speed Internet use, said he is considering blogs for Brian Williams, host of the evening news, and Katie Couric, the co-host of NBC’s ‘Today’ show. Zucker wants to retain the attention of these programs’ audiences rather than have them drift to the Internet.
What does this have to do with law firms? Everything. Many Law firms tell me they know blogs are important but they are waiting to see if and how they will be used to market a law firm. Sounds a lot like 1996 when law firms were not sure how Web sites could be used for marketing. Web sites were then brought to the attention of the masses by the likes of NBC with its MSNBC. Law firms slowly followed.
