President Bush knows all about blogs

Jeff Jarvis of Buzz Machine reports that two bloggers from Iraq who met with President Bush told him that the President told the two he understood what blogs are and their importance. They also found the staff in the White House views reading blogs as part of their jobs now.

Perhaps the White House is familiar with blogs as a result of blogs causing the unraveling of the Dan Rather – 60 Minutes story on the President’s Bush National Guard service. But none the less, when White House staff are reading blogs as part of their jobs, I think we can say blogs are more than a passing fad.
