Google exec another addition to corporate bloggers
Count David Krane, Google’s head of Corporate PR, among the growing list of corporate executives publishing a blog. On his kraneland, Krane blogs about topics ranging competitor’s strategies, like Yahoo! email, to random activities, like seeing Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle, out to eat with his son.
Doesn’t look like Krane is going to share much in the way of intellectual capital of value of folks but the blog puts a personal face on Google’s PR efforts. Lawyers are not likely to take such a relaxed approach to blogging but just getting out talking in an informal way, the public and prospective clients can relate could mean a lot.
Krane, of course, uses Google’s blogger as his blog platform. Blogger’s limited features make it a blog tool I would not recommend to law firms.
Thanks to my friend, Steve Rubel of Micropersuasion, for turning me on to Krane’s blog.
