lexBlog customer blog site featured by leading designers’ community

October 22, 2004

CSSbeauty.com is featuring one of lexBlog’s sites today. It’s the Traumatic Brain Injury Law Blog of plaintiff’s trial lawyer Bruce H. Stern of the New Jersey law firm Stark & Stark.

Cssbeauty.com is a project focused on providing its audience with a database of well designed CSS/Web standards based websites from around the world. It’s purpose is to showcase designers’ work and to act as a small portal to the CSS design community.

By using CSS/Web standards design, lexBlog brings its customers the latest in design technology. Without great detail, the focus of such design is on XHTML, Cascading Style Sheets and XML in place of HTML and tables, used by the vast majority of Web designers. This results is a cleaner look, lower design and maintenance costs, fast loading pages and a higher content to code ratio resulting in better search engine rankings.

Comments from the CSS community members included:

  • I like the colour combination of the site. Very soft and warm. The sidebar nav is very nice with the multi-coloured sections. I would add some bottom-padding to the headings of each section (especially the heading titled “News, Legal Updates & Tips”. Overall, very nice site…
  • 1st class design. Beautiful layout and the best example of drop shadows I’ve seen anywhere. Worthy addition.
  • I really like the way it’s structured visually – for a blog, it looks “legal” and “corporate.” The design fits the purpose nicely. Also, what a great example of a business blog!
  • I love the masthead texture. Very strokable.

One comment did say very boring — but unfortunately, I think that’s how a lot of people may view lawyers.
