Web Designer / Developer needed on contract basis, lexBlog is hiring

lexBlog is looking for a Web Designer / Developer to build & design lawyer blogs on a contract basis. The hours can be flexible and part time. Though being from the Seattle area would be great, we are very open to working virtually with a talented person.
The ideal person will be hardworking, show a willingness to learn, understand the importance of user experience and brand consistency and of course be looking to have some fun.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Designing and implementing blogs for law firms as a stand alone sites, or as a part of the existing sites
- Working with other members of the lexblog team to develop solutions to a variety of design-related projects
Job requirements:
- Positive attitude
- Excellent organizational and communication skills so you can work well with the lexBlog team
- Independent problem solving skills
- Flexibility to meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of basic design principles: page layout, typography, color theory as they pertain to the web
- Expert-level experience in coding HTML and CSS
- Mastery and understanding of Web standards
- Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver etc…
- Skills for developing web interfaces with a focus on user experience
- Online portfolio of work
Skills considered a plus:
- Familiarity with weblogs and tools such as Movable type or other blog tools
- Experience in JavaScript and DHTML
- Knowledge of Flash
