Google launches its own official Google Blog

Google launched its own Google Blog last week. It ain’t much. Frankly, if Google does not do more with it, they ought to take it down. I know it can be a headache, but if a company is going to have a blog, they ought to at least turn on the comments feature allowing readers to comment and discuss posts with the blog publishers. Google has multiple authors on the blog so they could have the time to respond, assuming they were allowed to do so. But, with an IPO in the works, I do not think much open and frank discussion is going to take place.

Google is a great search tool. I’ve always been impressed by everything they have done but the jury is out on their blog. Perhaps they ought to leave things up to the Unofficial Google Blog. The unofficial one comes up first when doing a search for Google blog on the Google search engine anyway. ;)
