LexBlog Incident on Thursday Night

Last night, some sites on the LexBlog Platform experienced approximately 3 hours of downtime, occurring between 9 PM and midnight, PST.

The root cause was a technical issue with database connections during a scheduled maintenance event.

In addition to the technical failure, we failed to effectively communicate the issue to users, both before the scheduled maintenance and during the unexpected downtime. I apologize for any problems this may have caused.

We are reviewing our process for handling maintenance and disruptions to ensure better communication and reliability moving forward.

While technology has advanced significantly from twenty years ago when outages were more common, there is always room for improvement.
