8 reasons to blog
October 25, 2014

Matt Ramos (@mattram0s), director of digital strategy at LocalVox, writes that every small business ought to be blogging.

Whether it’s for search performance, word of mouth or relationships, Ramos cites eight statistics supporting  the power of blogging.

  1. Over 60% of consumers have made a purchase based on a blog post that they read.
  2. Approximately 70% of consumers learn about a company through their blog rather than through paid advertising.
  3. 60% of consumers have a positive feeling about a company after reading their blog.
  4. 82% of consumers enjoy reading content from company blogs.
  5. Over 30% of consumers consider a blog to be the second most influential factor when it comes to making a purchase.
  6. Businesses that commit to blogging and publish over 51 posts receive a 77% lift in monthly leads.
  7. Small businesses that blog generate 126% more leads than SMB’s that don’t blog.
  8. Companies that blog also have 97% more websites linking to them well.

Each one of these stats support law blogging as a means of business development.

Still doubt the effectiveness of blogging? Anyone in your firm in doubt?
