Seyfarth Shaw, McCarthy Tétrault continue their steady expansion of blog networks
July 12, 2013
I initially wanted to use the title of this post for today’s summary of launches this week. But really, it’s quite rare that a week goes by and a major North American law firm doesn’t continue to grow out its network of LexBlog publications. This week, it’s two LexBlog Network mainstays: Seyfarth Shaw and McCarthy Tétrault.
- Not every blog by Seyfarth Shaw covers employment law, but it sure is close. Joining their excellent array of labor and employment publications, we now have Employment Law Lookout. This most recent blog is intended specifically for management, with their specific two-fold goal being: “to provide critical, real-time updates on employment law matters to in-house counsel and HR executives, and to keep our audience apprised of new trends and developments on the horizon.”
- The McCarthy Tétrault network of legal publications grows to seven—I’m stunned it isn’t more with how quickly it’s expanding—with the launch of Canadian Energy Perspectives. This blog hits the ground not running, but in a dead sprint, as upon announcement it has a library of more than thirty posts. As you can expect with any new energy blog, you’ll find insight on hydraulic fracturing and the oil and gas industry, but there’s also a good deal of commentary on renewable energy developments with wind, water and solar.
With word spreading that in-house counsel and execs are voracious readers of good law blogs, you can expect blogs from large law to continue its hockey stick growth.
