New blogs joining the LexBlog Network for the week of 8/29-9/2
September 2, 2011
It’s a gorgeous afternoon in the Pacific Northwest and I’m about jump on I-90 to head out to Big Sky country for one last time before the end of summer, so let’s get to the new publications joining the LexBlog Network this week. We have an excellent mix of lawyers and law firms making their debut on the LexBlog Network while also adding two publications from Lane Powell, their third and fourth blogs. Have a great holiday weekend, everyone.
- Coming right out of LexBlog’s backyard, The Nursing Home Neglect Report is authored by Seattle attorneys Justin Walsh and Karl Malling. Offering general commentary on nursing home developments and guidance for the elderly and their loved ones, the two attorneys go beyond commenting on elder abuse in nursing homes, but also discuss elderly financial abuse as well.
- Now, this one comes a little farther away. Australia’s Sean Larken—of Edge International—joins the LexBlog Network with the launch of the Legal Leaders Blog. A law firm management expert, Larkan’s goal with the publication is to “establish an interactive dialogue and exchange of useful information and expertise with like-minded legal industry professionals, leaders and managers about strategic issues of importance to all of us.”
- The launch of the Blackford Forum makes us three for three on publications authored by lawyers and law firm’s making their debut on the LexBlog Network. Titled after the first justice appointed by President Franklin Pierce to the U.S. Court of Claims in 1855, Isaac Newton Blackford, this publication aims to foster ongoing discussion of emerging issues in Government contracting. It is authored by Seattle lawyer Jonathan DeMella of Oles Morrison Rinker and Baker, LLP.
- And now we get to familiar faces. Or, well, a familiar law firm, the faces and authors are all new. The first of two launches by Lane Powell this week comes in the form of Boom: The ERISA Law Blog. On the publication—the firm’s third blog on the LexBlog Network—authors Mike Riley and Jeffrey Knapp comment on the litigation of ERISA-related claims and the formation and administration of ERISA plans.
- The second of the two Lane Powell publications to launch this week—and fourth total on the LexBlog Network—is the Immigration Edge. Authoring attorneys Diane Butler, Margaret Stock and Andrew Stevenson offer up their commentary on topics that include immigration filing issues, immigration legislation and investment immigration.
