New blogs joining The LexBlog Network for 3/21-3/25

March 25, 2011

As the week comes to a close, it’s time to take a glance at the five publications that have joined The LexBlog Network.   It’s always fun to see firms start up new publications, and this week Phillip Lytle, Stites & Harbison PLLC, Cooch & Lapham, PLLC, and Raymond & Bennett all introduce their first blog.  Accompanying these launches, Reed Smith offers up another publication, and Chris Cheatham, author of the already well-established Green Building Law Update, has a new project as well. Have a great weekend everyone.

  • The Renewable Energy Post is authored by two Phillips Lytle attorneys, David Flynn and Susan Marriott, who have a passion for assisting their clients with questions pertaining to renewable energy.  The blog covers a wide range of topics, while maintaining focus on renewable energy, with posts covering news from federal and state government officials, as well as industry leaders.
  • The notion of “sustainable living” can be a difficult one to pin down, but that doesn’t stop laws, policies, and regulations from being crafted with that idea in mind.  Blaine Early, a former biology professor, of Stites & Harbison PLLC is responsible for updating the Sustainability Law Talk, which looks at the legal ramifications businesses, individuals, and governments face when dealing with the various aspects of sustainability.
  • Adding to their already formidable stable of publications, Reed Smith hosts the Financial Regulatory Report.  With a number of members of the firm’s Financial Services Regulatory Group contributing to this blog, readers are sure to get the latest news on the financial services industry, complete with analysis on regulations and litigation.
  • Employment law is one of the fastest growing and rapidly changing fields of law, and each state is home to its own unique statues and precedents.  Anthony E. Cooch Jr., partner and founder of Cooch & Lapham, PLLC, authors the Virginia Employment Law Journal, which examines employment issues in Virginia.
  • The Boston Business Litigation Blog, a publication on business litigation in Boston, Massachusetts, is written by Raymond & Bennett partner Bruce Raymond.  Bruce has extensive experience litigating cases, and has been lead counsel in more than 1,000 cases.  The blog offers commentary not only on litigation, but also how best to manage and strategize business litigation cases.
  • Chris Cheatham, one of The LexBlog Network’s most prolific authors, is taking on a new blog, Construction Claims Playbook.  Construction projects bring together some of the most complex areas of law, and Chris is amongst the most capable legal professionals when it comes to explaining complicated legal questions.  Fans of the Green Building Law Update are sure to enjoy Chris’s insights on this blog as well.
