Journalism rockstar? LexBlog is hiring an Editorial Intern

Excited to grow out the LexBlog team even more, we’re happy to announce we are looking to hire an intern to aid in further increasing our editorial efforts.

LexBlog’s Editorial Intern will aid in raising the visibility and credibility of The LexBlog Network, which currently stands at more than 5,500 authors and 800 publications. These publications combine to produce more than 4,000 posts on a monthly basis. Utilizing LexBlog’s current array of properties—which include LexMonitor, Real Lawyers Have Blogs and LexConference—the Editorial Intern will work to highlight the content and authors on the Network through high-level curation, advanced strategies for syndication and original reporting.

Along with utilizing LexBlog’s current properties, the Editorial Intern will aid in the development, management and promotion of upcoming projects, to include advanced social media sites. Where necessary, the Editorial Intern will also aid in the drafting of a unique brand of copy to appear on LexBlog’s own publications and the publications of its clients.

The successful candidate will have a rich journalism background, a passion for social media in a professional or publishing setting and a highly developed and agile writing skill-set—one that combines traditional AP-style reporting with the ability to write eloquently in a more conversational tone. They will be self-motivating and responsible, carrying a strong sense of pride in one’s own work. Experience in working with media beyond print is advantageous but not required. Above all, we’re seeking an individual who is passionate about the future of online publishing and social media’s role within that.

This paid internship is part-time (15-20 hours per week) and may last up to five months. Interested parties should email their resume, along with two writing samples and their blog (where applicable) to colin@lexblog.com.

We look forward to hearing from you.
