New blogs joining The LexBlog Network for the week of 11/15-11/19

November 19, 2010

It seems to be the week of employment-related publications as we have three blogs in that realm launching this week from Stikeman Elliott, Seyfarth Shaw and Constangy Brooks & Smith. Not to be left out, we also have the blog of Michael Unger, President of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and Ulmer Berne partner. Have a great weekend everyone.

  • Stikeman Elliott continues to add to its very strong collection of blogs on The LexBlog Network with the addition of Canadian Employment & Pension Law. Intended to further enhance the firm’s reputation as a leading employment, labor and pensions firm, especially when it comes to cross-border transactions by keeping clients and colleagues abreast of relevant issues, this blog is authored by members of the firm’s Employment and Labour Group.
  • Published by a team of attorneys led by Gerald Maatman, Jr. of Seyfarth Shaw, one of the leading firms in this realm, we have The Workplace Class Action Blog. Off to a very quick start, this publication already boasts a wealth of content on topics that include class certification, class discovery and EEOC litigation.
  • The third employment and workplace-related blog of the week comes from Constangy Brooks & Smith in the form of the Employment & Labor Insider. Winston-Salem attorney Robin Shea serves as the primary author on this blog discussing real-world issues and their relation to employment law. Recent posts comment on TSA full-body scans and pat downs, the Nordstrom’s employee handbook and profanity in the workplace.
  • A View From the Bar is the blog of Michael Ungar, Ulmer Berne partner and President of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. This blog’s hottest topic is likely discussion on the recent rash of corruption in the Cleveland political scene.

Also worth noting: The rebranding of the Marler Clark Network is nearing completion with the launch of the Norovirus Blog. Similar to other blogs on their network, this publication features updates from food safety advocate Bill Marler on Norovirus outbreaks, related food recalls and relevant legislation.
