Law Blogs: ‘The Great Equalizer’ : Wisconsin Bar Magazine
September 22, 2008
UW Law School’s Bonnie Sucha reports this month’s edition of the Wisconsin Lawyer, the state’s monthly bar magazine, has an excellent article on blogging.
And who am I to disagree with Bonnie’s assessment of the article. I wrote it.
The essence of the four page article is blogs as a ‘new’ tool advancing an ‘old’ marketing method. More lawyers now are using law blogs to enhance their reputations, showcase their expertise, and bring in business the old-fashioned way – by fostering discussion within a network of potential clients.
Among other topics, the article covers:
- Blogging the right way
- Focusing on a niche
- Blog design and user interface
- The art of blogging
- Growth in legal blogging
The article is associated with a keynote presentation I’ll be making on blogging at the Wisconsin Solo and Small Firm Conference in Wisconsin Dells on October 23.
