Internet ad revenue to top $20 Billion

November 13, 2007

‘Marketers large and small have come to accept digital media as the fulcrum of any marketing strategy,’ says Randall Rothenberg, President and CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau.

No lie. Picked up from David Utter that internet ad revenue topped $5.2 Billion for the third quarter, up over 25% from last year. Annual revenues are expected to top $20 Billion.

And things are only to get bigger per Pricewaterhouse Cooper’s Peter Petrusky.

The arrival of new outlets like video, rich Internet applications, mobile browsers, and social media sites promise even more gains for online advertising. The industry has truly come into its own.

Can you hear the air being sucked out of the yellow page ad and Martindale-Hubbell like legal directory models?
