Ex-mayor hires appeals attorney from his law blog
June 6, 2007
Ex-mayor Atlanta Mayor Bill Coleman hired his attorney as a result of the attorney’s blog per Robin McDonald of the Daily Report.
Bill Campbell read a critique of his 30-month sentence for tax evasion on an Ohio law professor’s web log, Campbell called the blogging academic and asked him to argue his appeal.
On Friday, Douglas A. Berman, a law professor at Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law and author of the blog, Sentencing Law and Policy, will argue before Atlanta’s 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that Campbell’s conviction and sentence should be overturned.
Sophisticated prospective clients do read law blogs and hire their publishers. Maybe you want to start blogging about those clients you want to represent. ;)
