Goggle ads auto-link to add search to Google Reader
Google’s just added a feature where a search on Google Blog Search can be added directly to your Google News Reader. Let me show you how it works.
I’ll begin a step early – at Google’s standard search.
Step one. Do a search for ‘2007 Am Law 100’ at Google’s standard search page. You get this at the top of the results page – after clicking on the ‘more button’ on the right side of the ‘search text box.’ Step two. Click on the ‘blogs’ link. You’ll get this at the top of the page, being Google’s blog search for ‘2007 Am Law 100.’
Step three. Scroll to the bottom of this page. You’ll get the below where you can click on the last line that says subscribe to the blog search feed for ‘2007 Am Law 100’ in your Google Reader.
You’re now getting new stuff from blogs and news websites the new way – having new items sent to you. Not the old way of going out to blogs and news websites to see if there is anything new.
Heads up to LexBlog clients. Via your web based newsreader, you’ll just add a Smart Feed by searching for ‘2007 Am Law 100.’ New items on the search will automatically be sent to your newsreader.
