Google blog search pinging service launched today

Google launched a blog search pinging service today. This allows individual bloggers and blog platform providers to inform Google Blog Search of content changes to blogs. Google will continue to monitor other pinging services. More info is available at Google’s blog pinging service FAQ.

Upgrades to Google’s Blogger a few months ago, their RSS reader last week, and a pinging service this week. Google’s always known the importance of RSS, but it now looks they’re making more of move. That’s good news for consumers of feeds as well as blog publishers disseminating feeds.
