Spinach needs a blog? Injury victims served by two law firm blogs.

September 18, 2006

Steve Rubel posts that spinach needs a blog in light of the nation wide e. coli outbreak from spinach. May come from my 17 years of representing injury victims, but how about a blog dedicated to victims of this outbreak and their families, including the Wisconsin women who died as a result of the industry’s carelessness.

In fact, there are two trial law firms with blogs dedicated to food poisoning issues for consumers and the media seeking information.

Pritzker | Ruohonen & Associates of Minneapolis regularly publishes legal information and insight on its Food Poisoning Law Blog. Since last week’s e coli outbreak, the firm has been posting multiple updates a day regarding developments from around the country. Well done guys.
Marler Clark of Seattle has 12 blogs dedicated to food poisoning issues. Since the outbreak, the firm has been regularly posting to its E Coli blog, which posts are then fed to to Attorney Bill Marler’s blog along with RSS feeds from the firms other blogs. Bill has been regularly adding commentary on the outbreak to his blog. Kudos to Marler Clark as well.

Sure, the cynical may see the lawyer blogs as a rush to obtain million dollar settlements or verdicts and the resulting fees. But the fact is that good lawyers stand up for the rights of citizens in this country.

Injury victims are looking for helpful information. Getting that information from the Internet from skilled authorities, without having to call lawyers first or worst yet having lawyers knocking at their door looking to represent them can be a God send.

As way of full disclosure, both Pritzker | Ruohonen & Associates and Marler Clark are clients of LexBlog.
