Yahoo kills blog search, new feed platform may be coming

From Steve Rubel, Yahoo has eliminated the blog search function from Yahoo news.

…[T]his is a sure sign that Yahoo is gearing up to launch an integrated feed reader/search engine the way Ask.com/Bloglines did in June. This is the second piece of evidence in the puzzle. In July I noticed a referral link in my server logs from ‘reader.yrank.feeds.yahoo.com.’

Yahoo has been a big believer in blogs, RSS and third party content since the get go. No question blogs will only be receiving a higher profile on Yahoo.
