China law blog cited by CBS News website

Seattle lawyer Dan Harris’ China Law Blog was cited this week on the subject of China’s population and real estate values. Not bad PR.

The reference to Dan’s blog was part of Blogophile, a CBS feature written by CBSNews.com’s Melissa P. McNamara.

I’ll bet you dollars to doughnuts the reporter was looking for a Chinese legal source on the topic on the search engines or an RSS aggregator such as Technorati and came across Dan’s blog. As of last fall 40% of reporters sourced blogs at least once a week. The Wall Street Journal called blogs and the monitoring RSS feeds for keywords the lazy man’s way of investigative reporting.

And we have people questioning the value of blogs for law firm and professional services marketing.
