FeedDemon 2.0 released by NewsGator
The use of RSS may have just gotten easier with the release of Feed Demon 2.0 for Windows.
In a press release yesterday, NewsGator, the maker of FeedDemon, said:
The release marks the first major update of the product since NewsGator’s acquisition of FeedDemon developer Bradbury Software in May of 2005. FeedDemon 2.0 includes seamless synchronization with the entire NewsGator Online platform, including NewsGator Online, NewsGator Inbox, NetNewsWire, and the other desktop and mobile products.
I haven’t gotten under the hood of FeedDemon lately, but expect we’ll be doing so in LexBlog customer support. We train our clients on the effective use of RSS for marketing. And an effective RSS aggregator plays a huge role in that. Though we’ve had challenges with FeedDemon in the past, maybe version 2 will fit the bill.
For those not following NewsGator, they’re going places. They own the two largest desktop aggregators, NetNewswire for macs and FeedDemon for pc’s. NewsGator also has a heck of an aggregator for monitoring keywords and key phrases in the Internet discussion.
I use NewsGator to monitor Internet discussion and NetNewswire as my desktop aggregator. It’s a great tandem.
