Pay Per Click ad impressions are up 16% in the last 6 months per Nielsen/NetRatings reports ClickZ. Sponsored link ad impressions grew from 55.4 billion to 64.3 billion since just last August.

Two, more businesses like yours are recognizing the value of buying sponsored links. There’s value for two reasons. One, targeted (topic and locale) sponsored ads are dirt cheap for law firms and professional services firms compared to other advertising. Two, more businesses seeing the opportunities to draw traffic are running sponsored ads.
