Law firm Internet marketing through Google click-to-call

February 13, 2006

Click to call.jpgWhat’s that green phone next to that sponsored link in this Google Adwords ad? Click- to-Call currently in beta. It’s free to the user and Google blocks the advertiser from seeing your number.

Google explains how it works:

When you click the phone icon, you can enter your phone number. Once you click ‘Connect For Free,’ Google calls the number you provided. When you pick up, you hear ringing on the other end as Google connects you to the other party.

Seth Godin. who posted about the addition, said it did it not work when he tried it. That’s probably why it’s down tonight. But as Seth says it will be cool when it does.

It’s a good addition to the small law firm and professional service firm’s Internet marketing plans. Much more exposure and potential calls than through similar click-to-call programs offered as part of directory services.
