Blog re-do’s : Five things Nipper would do differently

Steve Nipper, a patent lawyer out of Boise and publisher of The Invent Blog shares five things he would do differently if he was starting his blog now.

Steve’s been going at it since January, 2004 and is a recognized leader in lawyer blogs.

The five:

• Use a platform other than a host such as Blogger or Type Pad so you can control your future.
• Get your own domain.
• Use an independent RSS feed in case you move your blog, ie, FeedBurner.
• Get a good stats package.
• Email notifier for users not using RSS.
