Martindale-Hubbell no longer claims to be the leading provider of client development solutions

Martindale-Hubbell is no longer claiming to be the leading provider of client development solutions for the legal profession. In press releases through the end of 2005 LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell always claimed to be the leading provider of client development solutions for the legal profession. See Martindale-Hubbell’s last press release from 2005 as an example.

Martindale-Hubbell is now saying its a leading provider of client development solutions for the legal profession, not the leader. See Martindale-Hubbell’s first release for 2006. May sound trite but those changes don’t come without a fair among of thought at a large corporation.

I don’t believe there were any law firms which ever saw Martindale-Hubbell as the leader in client development solutions, or for that matter as any where close. But it’s nice for Martindale to be a little more realistic in their claims.

The real question, I suppose, is whether Thomson FindLaw or someone else demanded evidence of such a claim.
