Google to offer new video service

January 5, 2006

Reuters, via a Wall Street Journal source, is reporting Google’s upgrade of its video-search service whereby users will be able to buy televisions shows or other video from Google partners such as CBS and the NBA.

What’s this have to do with blogs? A lot. Once video search is perfected by Google so we can search video like text and Internet users get used to using video via the net, you are likely to see an explosion of video podcasts. Lawyers and professional service firms should be ready to expand their offerings in this area. This will include both video showcasing lawyers and other professionals as well as the syndicated use of video from third parties.
