Video blogs or vlogs on your computer or TiVo
December 11, 2005
Sunday’s New York Times has an interesting story on video blogs. Though featuring RocketBoom, a brief daily video blog with as many viewers as some CNN shows, the article opens your eyes to where we are headed with citizen journalism.
Just as videocassette recorders first made it possible to watch television shows when you wanted rather than when they were broadcast, podcasting allows you to have shows (audio or video) sent directly to your computer, portable players or TiVo box for viewing at your leisure.
And for those wondering what we’ll be calling video on blogs, Apple Computer’s iTunes online store began stocking what they call video podcasts.
