Law firm search engine marketing : Adwords increase in size
Law firm search engine marketing has gotten bigger – at least to the extent Google has increased in Adwords font size.
In his report on the increase, Steve Rubel says the change was made to “…help searchers separate ads from results. Many still don’t know the difference and this does not help.” That may be a nice way of saying Google wants more people clicking on those sponsored links. Google only gets paid when someone clicks on the link.
For law firms, sponsored links can be a good buy. Focused on a niche area practice and locale, the prices can be very very reasonable. In some cases, down right cheap. In addition for firms with new domains for new Web sites or new blogs, organic results can lag for a number of months. Sponsored links are a away to get traffic now.
