Feedster launches self-service for ad on RSS feeds

November 7, 2005

RSS firm Feedster has launched a self-service engine to make it easier for blog publishers to offer ads on their blog’s RSS feeds.

The firm says the engine also help advertisers to reach the micro audiences that use RSS and get the most out of RSS-targeted advertising.

Feedster president Chris Redlitz said: ‘Feedster will allow large and small publishers to generate revenue from their feeds. As RSS continues to grow at rapid pace, advertisers are discovering RSS is an effective targeted channel.’

I am not a fan of ads on blogs nor RSS feeds when a professional is publishing a blog to market their services. But realist that I am, I understand that Madison Ave through ads is going to fund this blogosphere deal.
