Yahoo drops minimum spend requirement for sponsored links

October 22, 2005

Law firms and other professional services companies can pick up some very inexpensive sponsored links on Yahoo and Google. Google has never had a minimum spending limit but until this week Yahoo had a minimum of $20 per month. No more.

Dear Sponsored Search Advertiser:

We’ve listened to your feedback and are happy to announce that we’ve eliminated the $20 monthly minimum spending requirement for Sponsored Search. Previously, all Sponsored Search advertisers were required to spend at least $20 a month in click-through charges. Now, you can choose to spend as much or as little as you like, with no minimum to meet.

Thank you for being a Sponsored Search advertiser. We appreciate your business and hope this change makes advertising with us even easier. As always, we value your feedback, so if you have any questions please contact us using the support request form within your account.

Sincerely,

Your Partners at Yahoo! Search Marketing

Law firms and other professionals do not need an expert to buy ads on the Yahoo and Google search engines. It’s darn easy and so long as you are focused in your sponsored link buys to the exact work you are looking for in your city or county, it can be darn cheap. For Google, go to Google AdWords. For Yahoo, it’s Yahoo Search Marketing.
