Google responding to splog (spam blog) problem

Chris Pirillo reports he received a message from a Google staffer last night that he had brought up Chris’s earlier complaint and that Google is going to do something shortly.

This whole thing may sound amusing but splog, which Google is effectuating through Blogger blogs, is a big deal. Let it flourish and it will frustrate the heck out of us folks who rely on RSS feeds on keywords and key phrases from the blog search engines/aggregators. The effect will be a slower exchange of information between both citizen journalists and the main stream media.
